This little shanty on the web belongs to Dennis and Kaki Van Sky.

Some of you may know me as "Eskimo Joe."

Eskimo is really not an Eskimo word. The word actually

Comes from the Algonquin Indians of eastern

Canada. It literally means, "eaters of raw meat."

The word was used by the Europeans and now even the Eskimos

use it. In reality the term the Eskimos use for themselves

is "Inuit" Meaning the "real people!"
